How would you feel about your boyfriend buying himself a 800$ watch after your 5yr anniversary and he got you nothing? Then a few weeks later buys a 1000$ ring and a few more weeks later a week before your birthday buys a 300$ surround sound system cutting into the plans you had for birthday… then a week later buys another ring and at this point you find out the first ring he bought was actually 1700$ and will not tell you what the second one cost. He also tried to pretend like he went out to buy me something for my birthday but said they told him he wasn’t making his credit card payments and could t get it – yet he came home with his ring? I talked to him and he said I don’t have to deal with it. I don’t understand and it’s his money and why do I care if he can afford it? After my birthday he had to borrow money off me. He has never spent anything close to that on me and has made comments in the past like he saw something but decided it was too expensive and didn’t want to rack it u

I wouldn’t be bothered if he showed the same to me but he doesn’t? For my birthday I just wanted to go to zoo and book store a few days before he starts talking about he didnt know where his money went and didn’t think he spent that much on his dog. Ended up going to zoo and then Saturday letting him borrow money. Not even a week later he is buying another expensive gift for himself meanwhile I go without or settle for less and when I bring this up he tries to make me sound nuts for saying anything. It bothered me he told me I don’t have to deal with it. And the night before he mentioned how that’s how he thinks of himself and I’m over here like damn you must think nothing of me. He asked if we could talk about it another time and I said ok. I’m thinking about breaking up with him. I don’t feel valued or appreciated it. Feels more like he loves himself more.

Get rid of him – he obviously is only thinking of himself!
